Who writes BetfairSquare.com
BetfairSquare.com is written and reviewed under Fredrik's editorial direction, with contributions from a small team of Betfair Exchange traders who have executed live markets across UK and Irish horse racing, football, tennis, and matched betting. We launched in 2026. We are not a tipster service, not a course operator, and not affiliated with Betfair or Flutter Entertainment.
Every Article on the site carries a JSON-LD author reference back to this page, so search engines see the same editor identity behind every guide, review, strategy and blog post. Where a specific contributor wrote a piece, their name appears in the visible byline; the responsibility for the final published version sits with the editor.
How an article gets published
Every page follows the same five-step pipeline before it goes live:
- Draft. A team member writes the page against a brief that specifies the trader the article serves (beginner, intermediate, advanced), the sport or market, and the exact strategy or claim. Drafts include real example trades — back price, lay price, stake, P&L — not hypotheticals.
- Numbers check. A second team member re-runs every cash-out, hedge, and greening calculation. Where a worked trade references commission, Betfair's standard rate is used unless the article is explicitly about a Discount Rate scenario.
- Currency check. Anything time-bound — current promotions, software pricing tiers, Premium Charge thresholds, API rate limits — is verified against the operator or vendor source on the day of publication. If a number can change weekly (e.g. tipster results), the article says when it was checked.
- Compliance pass. 18+ disclaimer present, BeGambleAware and Gambling Help Online links live, affiliate links carry
rel="sponsored noopener", no language implying guaranteed profit. UK Gambling Commission and ASA standards drive this checklist. - Publish + date. The page goes live with a real
datePublished. ThedateModifiedis updated when we make a substantive change — a new example trade, a corrected number, a market closure. Cosmetic edits don't bump the date.
Editorial principles we won't bend
- Real numbers, not "around" or "roughly". Every example trade specifies back price, lay price, stake, and resulting P&L. If a number is approximate, we say why and bound it.
- Honest about risk. Trading the Exchange is hard. The phrases "guaranteed", "risk-free" (outside the precise mechanic of matched betting against a free bet), "easy money" and "passive income" do not appear in our editorial copy.
- Independent of affiliate revenue. We earn commission from Betfair and several software vendors via affiliate links. We do not write favourable reviews to protect that revenue. Our software rankings have moved against high-paying affiliates more than once.
- British English, UK/IE/AU audience first. Pricing is GBP unless stated. Examples reference UK and Irish racing meetings, English/Scottish football, ATP/WTA tennis. We flag the Australian and European context where laws and liquidity differ.
- No tipster service. We teach how to find your own selections. We do not sell tips, we do not run a Discord, we do not take subscription fees.
Conflicts of interest disclosure
The complete commercial relationships we currently have:
- Betfair. We participate in Flutter Entertainment's affiliate programme. We earn a commission on net revenue from new users we refer to Betfair via tracked links. We do not receive a payment per signup.
- Trading software. We participate in affiliate or referral programmes with Bet Angel, Geeks Toy, BetTrader, Cymatic Trader and Fairbot. Commission terms differ by vendor; vendors are not informed of editorial decisions in advance and have no review rights over our content.
- Books and courses. We do not currently participate in any affiliate programme for paid Betfair education or coaching products. Our reviews of paid education products are unsponsored.
- Cash relationships outside affiliate. We have not accepted sponsored content, paid placements, comped subscriptions in exchange for reviews, or any other monetary or in-kind consideration from operators, software vendors or third parties. If that changes, this page will be updated within seven days.
How to flag a mistake
If a number, claim or worked trade on the site is wrong, we want to know. The fastest route is email — contact form — with the URL and the specific claim you're challenging. We aim to:
- Acknowledge the report within 48 hours.
- Update or take down the offending claim within seven days where the report is substantiated.
- Add a visible correction note on any page where the original claim materially mis-informed a trading decision.
We do not delete and silently re-publish corrected pages — the page URL stays, the correction is dated. This is how a serious publisher behaves and it's how we behave.
Site provenance
BetfairSquare.com was launched in 2026 as an independent education resource. We are not a relaunch of an older property, we do not host content acquired from a defunct site, and we do not republish content from other Betfair trading sites. Every page on the site was written for BetfairSquare.com.
The site is registered to and operated by an independent UK editorial team. We are not affiliated with — and have never been affiliated with — Betfair, Flutter Entertainment, any Betfair Exchange trading software vendor, or any UK or Irish bookmaker.
Reaching us
Editorial enquiries, correction reports, partnership proposals and reader questions all flow through the same contact form. We respond to readers first, partners next, and editorial corrections fastest.
If you want to know more about the site itself, the about page is the short version. The responsible gambling page covers help resources for problem gambling — please use them if any of this is becoming a problem rather than a pastime.
